Fan Duel Plays O' the Day 5/10/18

Here is a brief synopsis of my best plays for today: A new feature to the blog, given my bootstrapping the first month or so of the season. A couple of things to note: (1) Value is an indicator of relative cheapness on Fan Duel vs. Draft Kings - so don't use these picks for Draft Kings; (2) Rise is an indicator of latest price change on Fan Duel vs. Draft Kings, see #1 caveat; (3) VR is an indicator of Value and Rise; (4) Pts/S is an indicator of previous period results divided by FD$; (5) DD Pts are Draft Doctor points, which should give an indication of the number of points each player will score today. Given these category caveats, I can now give my top picks here using the above vernacular.

Pitchers: (1) Walker Buehler; (2) Caleb Smith
Buehler put up a monster last time. Draft Kings thinks he's gonna score big. His $1600 rise and $1900 value place him at the top. Smith also had a flawless last game, He's $1000 cheaper and faces an easier opponent.
1B/C (1) Mitch Moreland; (2) Chris Davis; (3) Lucas Duda
Moreland is the star of the class. At least according to the numbers. Maybe DK knows more than dk. lol. Davis is still cheap. He seems to be heating up. Buy low. Duda is hot, and cheap as well. Either way on 2 or 3.
2B (1) Joathan Schoop; (2) Whit Merrifield; (3) Jose Pirela. Not much here in terms of overall points. I would stick to the value here. A lot of people had Schoop yesterday. I assume this wil continue today, At $2900, he's a bargain hitting cleanup, Pirela at $2200 is tempting, but methinks the others will at least get some points.
3B: (1) Travis Shaw; (2) Mike Moustakas; (3) Brian Anderson. Shaw in Colorado too tempting. Hot lately, he murders righties. Moose also hot vs. Tillman. Anderson is also hitting as of late &'cheaper,
SS: (1) Eduardo Escobar; (2) Trevor Story; (3) Chris Taylor. Escobar has been hot and sneaky good as of late. Story home in Colorado. It's always boom or bust w/ him. Taylor a solid points guy.
OF: (1) Stanton; (2) Alex Gordon; (3) Mitch Haniger; (4) Manuel Margot; (5) Max Kepler; (6) Lewis Brinson; (7) Travis Jankowski; (8) Yasiel Puig; (9) Teoscar Hernandez. Stanton to fear. Gordon, Haniger, & Puig midrange. The others cheap bargains. It is easiest to find steals in the outfield.
