MLB Fantasy Spring Training - What's New in 2019

Spring Training applies to fantasy baseball in the form of new teams, new players, and new values: I divide this post into 3 Categories: (1) Teams; (2) Players; & (3) Values.
Teams: Of course we have the regular elite level teams, hitting in relative bandboxes...such as Yanks, Red Sox, Astros, Rockies, DBacks, Cubs, Brewers, etc. All high scoring teams, but in the most part "status quo." Let's explore some key team upgrades:
(1a) Phillies: Bryce Harper, we knew that. Look also for a bump to teammates that hit around him, such as Cesar Hernandez, Jean Segura (yes, now a Phil), Andrew McCutcheon (ditto), Rhys Hoskins, &, my favorite catcher, JT Realmuto: One would have to think it's rags to riches 4 JT this year.
(1b) Cardinals: Paul Goldschmidt hitting 2nd frightens me. That means a few more at bats & he's surrounded by Matt Carpenter at leadoff, Marcel Ozuna cleanup, & Paul DeJong, projected to bat 3rd. DeJong can't help but produce runs & will get decent pitches: A valuable SS.
(1c) Padres: Manny Machado effect on Ian Kinsler (yes, now a Pad), Eric Hosmer, Wil Myers, &, my favorite rookie sleeper, Franmil Reyes. Fernando Tatis Jr. may pop early, keep a close eye on him.l: a potentially valuable SS.
(1d) Reds (My Sleeper Team): Call me crazy, but Puig hitting 3rd between Votto & Suarez (expect big years) seems like it will work. More important, their pitching staff is so weak, that their players will face a lot of mop up middle relievers w/ less same-handed pitching changes. The Reds' ace is Sonny Gray, ouch.
Players: Again, let's look at new (or relatively new) faces, new places: Where a players' production should be relatively higher due to the move. By Position:

Values: Early season values are different than the rest of the season. Some early season tips:
1. Don't pay too much for SPs. Starters tend to have a quick leash in early games. I wait around 2-3 weeks before investing big on starters. Look for cheap sources, everyone seems to max at 6 innings. Get the win, a few Ks, & spend elsewhere.
2. Look to have a few extra cheapie position players. Especially target rookies against non-aces. You may not get them this cheap later in the season.
3. Look to exploit roster changes early: These players tend to go relatively undrafted. They can serve to differentiate your teams.
4. Don't bet the farm. It's still early. Starting at 0, there are no trends and, hence, no real data analytics to work from: You can't go by last year. So be patient, let the trends establish themselves. Ok, this should get you up to date on the 2019 MLB Fantasy Season Changes. Good Luck/Skill. Play Ball!
